A very educative story.

The following story, although seemingly is irrelevant with what is going on lately in Greece and in Europe in general, is indicative of the hypocrisy that characterize our partners, who choose double standards on issues of morality and not only, depending on their interests. So, the… friend and partner Holland has in Minsk a Honorary Consulate.
The duties of Consul are executed by a Belarusian citizen, by the name Alexander Vinokourov. These duties are usually limited in organizing a reception once a year and to attend the events organized by the other diplomatic missions. The position is in most of the cases a “pro bono” one, but brings with it all the benefits of a regular diplomat. In Mr. Vinokourov’s case, though, the Dutch state subsidizes him with an amount of approximately 1.300$ per month.
After some allegations and journalistic researches, it has been proved that this specific gentleman and his family has turn the whole story into a profitable business, violating not only the Belarusian laws, but also the laws under which diplomats operate internationally. Like he did nothing since then, given that Mr. Vinokourov remains in his position and continues to enjoy his privileges. Either because he maintains the right connections or because he serves ulterior interests, Holland refuses to call to account its chosen one in Minsk. The same Holland that waves the finger in front of the face of Greece, for the lack of transparency, the lack of reforms and the corruption at the country. The same Holland of same Dijsselbloem, who in an insolent and overt way gives us lessons of fiscal management and morality.
